It’s as though the moon or stars have entered a special phase sometimes… the cats rather unanimously decide to not eat all their food, so I end up with twelve bowls each with a small amount of wet food in it. I feed them dry food with a dollop of wet food on top twice a day. Seems that over time that dollop is becoming bigger.
Then that “special phase” hits and all of them leave a little in their bowl. This is counter to their usual behavior because they usually convince me to give them seconds. During this phase, even Fat Frankie doesn’t clean up the leftovers.
While I don’t understand this phase, I think I have finally figured out why none of the other cats finishes up the leftovers. Cats LICK their food. They lick all over the wet stuff. No wonder the other cats don’t want it. Who would??? Well, the dogs would.
As I am typing this Greta is sitting under the light bulb in the desk lamp. This seems to be something a couple of them like to do. Maybe it’s the heat? A few nights ago, Diego reached a paw up and touched the light bulb. Then leaped off the desk to the floor and sat there sniffing his foot. Guess the bulb was hot, huh?
It’s always something…
