Animal Cruelty Through the Eyes of a Child

Reese - Photo of Reese courtesy of CCSPCA A few weeks ago, a dog’s owner gave up her dog, Reese, after she lost her home. Last Saturday night, a resident of Southland, NJ called authorities to report a truck that was dragging a dog tied to its bumper. It was Reese, the dog given up a few weeks before.

An outpouring of sympathy and outrage came from all over the country. The dog, though severely injured, is recovering and authorities think they are close to an arrest.

On Friday, a gentleman hand-delivered [slider title=”this letter from his granddaughter. “]

“My name is Maria Ewan and I am 11 years old. I live in Marlton, New Jersey. I am writing this letter to you because I want to give you a song I dedicated to animals being abused. What tempted me to write this song was a story on the news. The story was a person who tied their dog behind their truck while they drove. Whoever did this terrible act, may God help them! This song I composed, I was hoping could go on your commercials. Your commercials make me cry and want to save all of these poor animals. Here is my song.

“Why do you do this to me?

Why do you hurt me?

I have done nothing to wrong to you.

Don’t abandon me, don’t chain me up, don’t abuse me, all I want is love.

What did I do to you that made you angry?

What did I do to you that made you angry?

And when you leave me just anywhere, I end up alone and scared!

But I know, I know I will make it through.

I will survive and recover without you!

“This song does come with a tune but I can’t write the tune! Thank you for taking time out of your busy day to read this.

Sincerely,

Maria Ewan”

If it’s wrong to hurt dogs, it’s wrong to hurt all animals. Please consider going vegan. You can check out the resources in the description of my facebook profile’s cover image for information on the animal exploitation industries, as well as the health and environmental reasons for adopting plant-pure diets (part of the vegan lifestyle which refuses to partake in any animal cruelty). This documentary is highly recommended: //earthlings.com/?page_id=32

That is so sad. How can people do this to animals. They need to be put in prison. That makes me mad to see this happen to animals. I have 12 dogs of my own. And if anyone has animals of there own then you know how I feel. So lets make a pledge to help every animal that we can.

I do not understand what an why some sick people can do this to anyone or any living thing especially what is considered as a mans best friend, i have the most loving wolf dog that could easily savage any person but she knows better. All a dog wants is a companion all a human wants is someone who they can trust. Pretty much the same thing you look after each other i love my dog an treat her better than any child or family member i have simply because if the worst thing they can do is get under your feet an want some affection it is hardly a sin they just want to play an i rescued my dog at the age of two years old she is my everything!
I Think the i would love to take my dog around to these type of people an set her on them and see how they like being the victim of an uncalled for attack. 🙂 then again why would i want to dirty my dogs mouth with the likes of these people i would rather pay for them to be shot in the knee caps an threw there face and sit in a wheel chair eating threw a straw for the rest of their life!
